Please be aware that the Synod Delegate Nomination process is NOW underway. Applications are open to individuals nominated by their parish to be considered for a voting delegate seat in the upcoming assembly as well as to individuals wishing to self-nominate for consideration. Original Deadline: May 15, 2023, now extended to June 1, 2023
PARISH NOMINATION PROCESS
If you are the parish staff member who is submitting your parish’s three formal nominations for delegate consideration, please proceed to the link below. Note that all parish nominations must be received by May 1st, 2023 and is now extended to May 27th, 2023
Before parish nominations can be submitted, the three names must meet the following qualifications:
- All parish nominations must be approved for nomination by the pastor or pastoral administrator.
- Nominees must be notified they are being nominated.
- Nominees must be available for the entirety of the anticipated dates for the Synod: Sunday, December 1st at 6 PM through Wednesday, December 4th at 6 PM, 2024 in Irving, TX.
- Nominees must accept their nomination by completing the Delegate Nomination form by May 15th in order to be considered and submitting a recent headshot or photograph to synodinfo@cathdal.org by the same date.
IF YOU WERE NOMINATED BY A PARISH
All individuals who are nominated by their parish must complete the Delegate Nomination form below before the new extended deadline of June 1st, 2023 in order to be considered.
As a nominated delegate, you must meet the following qualifications:
- You must be available for the entirety of the anticipated dates for the Synod: Sunday, December 1st at 6 PM through Wednesday, December 4th at 6 PM, 2024 in Irving, TX.

- All delegates who are chosen are expected to be fully in attendance during these days. You cannot send a proxy to any votes that are held and must attend yourself in person for the duration of the event.
- You must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the church.
- You must agree with Catholic doctrine, as this Synod is in no way attempting to nor has the authority to change any aspect of church teaching.
- You must submit a recent headshot or photograph to synodinfo@cathdal.org in order to complete your application.
- You understand that this nomination does not guarantee you are going to be selected to serve as a voting delegate for the synod assembly.
You will be notified of selection no later than November 1, 2023.
SELF-NOMINATION PROCESS
If you are someone who wishes to self-nominate to be considered for a delegate spot in the Synod Assembly of 2024, please proceed to the link below. All self-nomination forms must be received by the new extended deadline of June 1st, 2023 in order to be considered.
All self-nominations must meet the following qualifications:
- You must be available for the entirety of the anticipated dates for the Synod: Sunday, December 1st at 6 PM through Wednesday, December 4th at 6 PM, 2024 in Irving, TX.
